Someone was a little homesick earlier when we spoke and I was telling him about the lilies that were springing up in the backyard. I promised to take a few pictures.
This is the first spring here in a new house, so it's always fun to see what comes up that's been lying dormant under the ground. The beautiful Kuan Yin faces did not just spring up from the ground however, but were bought a couple of weekends ago from a California artist selling her wares at a street fair in downtown Menlo Park. The potted herbs and various flowers were also intentional.
